With reference to your
letter of the 6th inst relative to the
visit of Mr Chadwick C.M.E. to
Hongkong. I have the honor to
forward a copy of a
letter addressed to
us by that gentleman from Lyons, stating that he has been prevented
by an acute attack of Rheumatism from proceeding to Hong Kong
by the Mail which left Marseille the 16th inst.
He hopes to be able to sail by Steamer of the 30th inst.
